Sunday, July 17, 2022 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam
It took two newly drilled bowling balls to win the July edition of the Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes. Keith Guerrero purchased a Roto Grip Idol Cosmos Bowling Ball last Tuesday and used the ball throughout the contest to claim the King title while Von Cabral was gifted a Roto Grip Hustle Wine ball last week and took home the monthly Prince title.

2nd seed Guerrero, who is currently on the island for a two-week vacation, ousted 5th seed Jay Leon Guerrero in the finale contested on the short oil lane pattern. In the semi-final round, Guerrero beat 3rd seed Brian Manibusan while Leon Guerrero toppled top seed Aaron Elliott. Elliott earned the top post with an 855 four-game total. Guerrero threw ten strikes in a row during the fourth game of the qualifier ringing a pin ten on his eleventh attempt for a 289 game which catapulted him to the second spot. Manibusan fell ten pins adrift in third followed by Greg Borja, Leon Guerrero, Mike Gadia, Jared Gutierrez, Ricky Duenas, Cameron Santos, and Juan Blas who qualified for the elimination rounds.

Cabral doubled up on 2nd seed Arlene Reyes in the monthly Prince finals for his first title of the year. Cabral edged Cesar Soriano in the semi-final matches while Reyes got past Gomez Martinez. Cabral was atop the leader board with 847 total pinfalls including handicap as Reyes totaled 786 for the second seed ranking. Martinez qualified in the third position followed by Shannon Bukikosa-Esplana, Lisa Duenas, Soriano, Sheila Bangs, Corey Granillo, Miyuki Kim, and Cris Leal finished in the top ten and competed in the elimination rounds.
The next Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes will be held at the Central Lanes Bowling Center on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.
