Teenagers ruled the Lanes on Father’s Day as 18-year-old Evan Duenas and 15-year-old Tristan Adonay were crowned King and Prince of the Lanes for the month of June. With a few competitors on hand from the aftermath of Typhoon Mawar, the top two bowlers from the field proceeded to the monthly finale.
Duenas upended top seed Jay Leon Guerrero after a seesaw battle that concluded with both bowlers missing their tenth frame spares with Duenas taking the title 194-185. Leon Guerrero led the field with a 207 average, rolling a third-game high score of 280.

Adonay climbed the ladder in the Prince division to earn his first title as he beat out top seed Henry Abasta in the semifinal round 150-119 then edged out 2nd seed Virgil Toledo in the monthly finals 186-179. Toledo beat 3rd seed Sheila Bangs in his semifinal match to advance to the finals. Abasta led the Prince field during the four game qualifier held earlier in the day.
The next Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 1:15 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
