Rules and Regulations

Schedule of Events

To be held in conjunction with the GEDA BowlinGU Youth League on the last Saturday of each month.

There shall three division for this event which will be open to bowlers 21 years of age and below as of January 1, 2023.

Each competitor shall bowl three (3) games during league play.  Non-league members are invited to join, however, they must present a certified average from a sanctioned league.  Boys and Girls shall compete in separate divisions based on pins over average format.  Averages are based on the current league stats.

This event is based on a Pins Over Average format.  The top 4 bowlers from the field will proceed to bowl in a one game elimination format finals including handicap as follows:

Quarter Final Round3rd place vs. 4th place
Semi Final Roundwinner of Quarter Final Round vs. 2nd place
Final Roundwinner of Semi-Final Round vs. 1st place

Monthly Awards shall be in the form of medals:  1st place shall be presented with a gold medal, 2nd place will be awarded a silver medal and 3rd place will receive with a bronze medal.

Entry Fees shall be $5.00 per person per monthly tournament.

Bowlers will be awarded points based on their monthly placements as follows:

1st place finish30 points 6th place finish5 points

5th place finish5 points 10th place finish5 points
Participation Points2 points   

The monthly winners will receive an invitation to complete in the Grand finals which will be held according to the above schedule.

Youth Bowler of the Year Grand Finals:

The Grand Finals shall consist of 24 bowlers.  Monthly winners will earn an automatic berth to the Grand Finals.  The remaining slots shall be filled based on the points system.

The grand finalist shall bowl four (4) games based on pins over average.  Bonus points will be awarded to each competitor who beats the total of their respective opponent.  Each game won will be awarded 10 points; each tie game shall be 5 points.  Non-winners of each game will not be awarded points.

Lane assignment shall be based on luck of the draw system.

Entry Fee for the Grand finals shall be $5.00.

The bowlers will then proceed to a final match play for the top 4 participants as follows:

Trophies and prizes shall be awarded to the top four finishers from the Grand Finals.
