The Guam Bowling Congress hosted the second season of the IIAAG High School Bowling League at the Central Lanes Bowling Center. The league includes seven schools in each division with one tri-meet per week.
The Academy of Our Lady of Guam Cougars opened their title defense with a victory over the Guam Adventist Academy Angels. Eriana Ada led the team with a two-game total of 277 followed by Alexis Leon Guerrero and Atissa Rabon. Angel’s Ellin Losongco finished in fourth place to avoid a sweep as Frencin Cabuhat completed the four-player stance for the Cougars.
The upstart St. John’s School Knights edged St. Paul Christian School as Skye Concepcion took top honors among the eight athletes. Knessa Davis followed suit with the Warrior’s Xerya Anderson and Melreese Rosario in 3rd and 4th. The Knights completed their four-player rotation with Ava Ouhadi and Shihori Fujisaki taking the fifth and sixth slots as Warriors Isabela Uribe and Aljhayne Nerza rounded off the standings.
In the first tri-meet of the league, Harvest Christian Academy walked away with the win over Guahan Academy Charter School and John F. Kennedy High School. The Pole position was earned by Islander’s Kamilah Leones who bowled the highest set of the day with 298 pins. The Eagle’s Paulina Yoon finished second with Islander Juliana Lagman in third and Eagle’s Denis Garcia taking fourth place. The Top bowler for the Stars was Beatrix Cruz who tied the Warrior’s Patricia Deal for fifth place.
The boy’s competition is set for Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 4:30 p.m.
