The SJS Knights and HCA Eagles competed against each other with the winner continuing their undefeated season. The Eagles Paulina Yoon took pole position with a 270 set, however, the Knights Ava Ouhadi and Skye Concepcion followed suit. Each school plugged in two bowlers in each position with the Eagle’s Rebecca Xu and Denise Garcia in 4th and 5th, followed by Ana-Lourdes Cook and Knessa Davis in 6th and 7th to round off their top four. However, the Knight’s Raylene DeBenedictis slipped in to 8th place to drop the Eagles last competitor into 9th for an exciting one point win. With the 18-19 decision, the Knights remained undefeated for another week while the Eagles drop to 2-1.
GACS Stars picked up their first win of the season by dropping the JFK Islanders. Although Kamilah Leones led the day with a 295 two-game set, the Stars occupied the second through fifth positions with Ella Cruz leading the charge followed by Beatrix Cruz, Kaila Aloka and Juanie Cruz aiding in the romp.
The AOLG Cougars topped the tri-school meet against the GAA Angels and SPCS Warrior. Angels Jasmine Lee led the meet with a second-place tie between Warrior’s Haylee Acda and Cougars Frencin Cabuhat. The Cougars then took the next three slots to cap off the win with Eriana Ada, Minellie Dacanay, and Alexis Leon Guerrero.
The competition continues on Thursday with the boy’s division at 4:30 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
