The Friars bowled over the tri-school meet taking the top four ranking against GAA Angels and SPCS Warriors to keep the top post in the boys IIAAG High School Bowling League.
Kyle Lindsey topped the Friars charge followed by Aaron Hernandez, Riel Brantley, and Xavier Calvo, ahead of Angel’s Nick Zuniga while John Wilson led the Warriors finishing in 6th place. The Angels finished second for a draw with a 9th, 10th, and 13th place finish in the meet. The Warriors, despite a 6th and 7th place finish, were unable to hold off the fort finishing 16th and 24th.
The Islanders also kept their win streak alive beating Stars. Islander’s Micaiah Benton led the group followed by Stephan Azucena and Jess Rechulk. Taydon San Nicolas and Ethyn Hernandez of the Stars took 4th and 5th before Islander’s Ryusei Santos closed out the match in 6th for the top four bowlers on the Islanders slate.
HCA Eagles also took the top four spots against an undermanned Knights squad. Eagle’s Parker Ashland registered the high series of the day with a season-high 392 set bowling games of 219 and 173. Ye-Jun Yeo, Alex Sheldon, and Koren Espia followed suit for the win.
