Eagles’ top tri-school meet, FD stays undefeated

The Harvest Christian Academy Eagles are only a half-game behind the undefeated Father Duenas Memorial School Friars after winning the tri-school over the John F. Kennedy High School Islanders and Guam Adventist Academy Angels.  Parker Ashland had the hot hands during the day as the top-ranked competitor with 375 pins over the two-game session.  Teammate Paul Ray was 17 sticks behind in second as the Islander’s Stephan Azucena finished third in the meet to slip into the top four.  Koren Espia was a mere six pins behind in 4th place followed by a couple of Islanders Ryusei Santos and Micaiah Benton.  Bryce Aguilar was able to close out the Eagle’s four-player point format in 7th to record the 14 points of the Eagles with the Islanders Brandon Benavente in 8th to end the day with 22 points.  The Eagle’s top bowler for the day was Elijah Jano-Edward in 11th place.

The Friars swept the Knights taking all four posts with Riel Brantley’s 374 total followed by Xavier Calvo, Aron Hernandez, and Kyle Lindsey.  Jun Lee led the Knights team finishing 8th overall.

St. Paul Christian School improved their record to 2-1-1 winning against the Guahan Academy Charter School 13-25.  Michael Pono led the 1-2 Warriors punch with Garrett Mangosong, while Dallas Cauthen led the Stars finishing in third place.

The action continues on Monday, December 4, 2023, with the girls’ division at the Central Lanes Bowling Center at 4:30 p.m.
