The FD Friars remained undefeated with one week to go as they beat an undermanned JFK Islanders squad. Kyle Lindsey led the Friars squad with a 362 set along with a 211 game closely followed by Aron Hernandez who finished six pins adrift with a 201 game. The Islanders took 3rd and 4th place with Stefan Azucena and Miciah Benton, but Xavier Calvo and Mark Bersamin closed out the top four places in their team to win 14-22.
The HCA Eagles pulled within half a game of the Friars as they edged the SPCS Warriors 16-21. Bowlers on both teams went back and forth in the top four rankings with Ye-Jun Yeo pacing the Eagles squad. Ray Paul finished in 3rd, Koren Espia in 5th, and Bryce Aguilar in 7th. Garrett Mangosong came in 4th for the Warriors with Alexander Nerza in 6th and Kurt Macatangay in 9th.
In the tri-school meet, Guahan Academy Charter School chalked up their first win of the season beating out GAA Angels and SJS Knights. Stars Dallas Cauthern topped the meet with Angel’s Nick Zuniga in 2nd. Stars Jusiah Carlos finished in 3rd with Knights Elijah Dewan in 4th place. Taylon Aguero took 5th for the Stars while Ethyn Hernandez tied for 6th place with Angel’s Charlier Heberle to solidify the win.
