Brian Manibusan and John Dahilig captured the February edition of the 2024 Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes at the Central Lanes Bowling Center on Sunday, February 18, 2024.
Manibusan’s combined two-game match play total of 500 pins decimated his opponents. He romped through the semi-final round with an 86-pin margin over 5th seed Michael Gadia, then eclipsed 3rd seed Ricky Duenas by 99 pins in the championship match for the title. Duenas ousted 2nd seed Cisco Uncangco in the semi-finals before bowing out to Manibusan. Duenas’ run to the monthly final match includes wins over 8th seed Jesse Eyoel and 9th seed Corey Granillo.
Manibusan led the field during the qualifying rounds with a 213 average followed by Uncangco, Duenas, Cesar Villaneuva, Gadia, Evan Duenas, Daniel Lee, Eyoel, Granillo, and John Mercado.

In the Prince division, John Dahilig slipped past his opponents in both the semi and monthly finals. With both matches going down to the wire, Dahilig edged 5th seed Dylan Taimanglo in the semi-final match by a stick, 166-165, and then spared in the final stanza to beat 9th seed Chris Santos 172-159 to etch his name in the year-end grand finals by winning the February title. Santos took wins over 2nd seed Zayne Zamora in the semi-final match, 8th seed Sabrina Fletcher, and 3rd seed Henry Abasta.
Dahilig took the top post during the qualifying round followed by Zamora, Abasta, Arlene Reyes, Taimanglo, Virgil Toledo, Leody Ersando, Fletcher, Santos, and Arnold Hernandez.
The next Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes is scheduled for Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.
