The Guam contingent wrapped up the qualifying rounds at the U22 Storm Hong Kong Bowling Cup at the South China Athletic Associations Bowling Center.

The contingent includes Jeremiah Camacho, Evan Duenas, Sean Lee, Daniel Lee, Graig Reyes, David Levy, Riel Brantley, Eyan Duenas, and Tydus Baker.

Evan Duenas is currently leading the U22 division shooting a tournament-high 2049 after 8 games in the current score format to average 254.

Evan Duenas improved on his first block score 1015 and shot a 1034 on day two to move from third to the first position in qualifying. His position is strong, with the scores carrying over for an additional four games, and the field being cut to the top 16 match play knockout rounds.

Jeremiah Camacho shot a 989 after having a slow start on day 1 to qualify for the next round. Camacho scored 989 on day 2 to finish in 20th place for qualifying.

14-year-old Eyan Duenas had an impressive international debut and finished 6th in the U15, qualifying for the next round. Eyan Duenas’ day 2 did not start well, but he finished the last game with a 276 to propel himself up the rankings.

Brothers Sean and Daniel Lee also made the qualifying cut with Sean, averaging 232 and Daniel averaging 222. Sean Lee finished the qualifying rounds shooting all games over 200. David Levy, also playing in his first international tournament, held on to make the cut, finishing in 38th place in the U22 division to qualify for the next round.

The action continues on Sunday with the scores carrying over and only the top 16 advancing to match play elimination rounds.

Rounding out the rest of the contingent from Guam was Reyes in the U18 division, missing the cut but managing to finish with a 195 average.

U15 division players Brantley and Baker got their experience to participate in their first international competition and still performed well but were unable to advance to the next round with Brantley finishing with a 186 average and Baker finishing with a 180 average.
