Jaden Milan bowled games of 217 and 211 for a total of 428, leading the Friars to a sweep of the Sharks during week 3 of the Guam Bowling High Schools League. Kandon Duenas, Ayden Buentipo, and Riel Brantley rounded out the top four, followed by Raf De Guzman, Benj Encarnacion, Dominic Cruz, and Ezekiel Gatan, with Sharks’ top bowler Joseph Quintanilla finishing in ninth place. The win improves the Friars’ record to 3-0, while the Sharks drop to 0-2-1.
The Geckos picked up their second win of the season by convincingly defeating the Starfish with a 10-38 tally. Kaleb Santos led the Geckos with a total of 363, followed by Miciah Benton, Hanz Ramos, and Ronan Aromin, securing the top four spots before GACS’ William Salas topped his team’s performance. The Starfish now stand at 0-3.
The Dolphins also improved their record to 2-1, narrowly escaping a closely contested match with the Warriors. SPS’ Michael Pono led the field, but the Dolphins took second through fourth spots with Roscoe Zamora, Aiden San Nicolas, and Daeton Taumomoa. The Warriors’ Kurt Macatangay and Hanwool Kim secured fifth and sixth places, but the Dolphins’ Reese Chamberlain closed out the top four bowlers for his team in seventh place for a 16-21 win.

The Cougars and Lady Sharks maintained their undefeated records after three weeks of competition. The Cougars defeated the Lady Geckos 11-31, while the Sharks overcame the Lady Warriors 12-26. The Lady Dolphins also secured a week 3 win against the Lady Starfish 17-22.
Aha’ani Sablan led the field of lady bowlers with a two-game total of 307 pins, followed by Frencin Cabuhat, Summer Pinaula, and fifth-place Atizza Rabon. The Geckos’ Janese Abasta finished fourth in the contest.
The Lady Sharks were led by Nichole Herrera and Sheila Carale, taking first and second places, while the Lady Warriors were led by Aljhayne Nerza, who finished third. Jaemie Poblete and Chelsea Milallos sealed the win for the Sharks, taking fourth and fifth places.
The Lady Dolphins triumphed over the Lady Starfish after Kaila Aloka led the field for the Starfish team. However, Cyrish Abad and Lynneia Quitugua secured second and third places, while the Starfish’s Isabella McKinnon ended up in fourth. Amira Madrelino and Gabrielle Perez rounded out the Lady Dolphins’ top four in fifth and seventh places, while Juanie Cruz grabbed sixth place.
Competition continues with a make-up game on Wednesday, November 19, 2024, between St. John Knights and Guam Adventist Academy Angels.
