Sunday, July 20, 2025 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

The pins flew and the tension soared as Ray San Nicolas etched his name into the record books, clinching his second Budweiser King of the Lanes title in heart-stopping fashion. In a championship finale that had the crowd buzzing, San Nicolas edged past fourth seed Noah Taimanglo by a single pin—thanks to a nerve-wracking spare conversion in the eleventh frame after a wayward delivery left him staring down a brutal 1-2-3-4-5-7-8 split. With both bowlers exchanging double strikes in the ninth and tenth frames, Taimanglo’s costly 4-7-10 leave cracked the door open. San Nicolas seized the moment, rising under pressure to claim the crown by the thinnest of margins.
Earlier in the day, San Nicolas blazed through the four-game qualifier with a fiery 906 series, averaging 226 pins to secure the top seed. Juan Blas kept the heat on with an 867 series to finish second, followed by Jay Leon Guerrero in third. Taimanglo, RJ Santos, Darien Borja, Maria Wood, Cisco Uncangco, Jaden Milan, and Brian Manibusan completed a powerhouse top ten eager to battle it out.
In the elimination rounds, San Nicolas sealed his July finals slot with a composed 206-192 win over sixth seed Darien Borja in Bracket A, while Taimanglo dismantled second seed Blas 218-153 in Bracket B, setting the stage for the epic finale.

Meanwhile, in the Prince Division, sixth seed Raoul Tomada unleashed a fiery performance that turned heads and lit up the bracket. He opened his title run with a commanding 218-161 win over seventh seed Dylan Cruz, then roared through the quarterfinals with a scintillating 250 game to eliminate fifth seed Lisa Duenas. The fireworks continued in the semis, where Tomada stunned top seed Riel Brantley with a jaw-dropping 265 barrage—nearly doubling Brantley’s score. In the final match, Tomada strung seven straight strikes to overpower second seed Christof Pineda 236-207, securing his first career championship in dominant style.
Pineda had earned his finals berth with a 221-160 win over third seed Kaleb Santos, but the day belonged to Tomada, who tore through the bracket with fierce momentum and pinpoint accuracy.
Qualifying in the Prince Division saw Brantley take the top seed with a blazing 909 series (with handicap), while Pineda’s scratch 857 score put him in second overall. Kaleb Santos placed third, with Ezekiel Gatan, Duenas, Tomada, Cruz, Arnold Hernandez, Logan Lapan, and Shane San Nicolas rounding out a stacked top ten—all fired up and eager for a chance at glory.

The next Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Central Lanes Bowling Center at 1:15 p.m.
