Youth power strikes gold at King and Prince tilts

Sunday, August 24, 2025 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING, CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

King of the Lanes August 2025 Jaden Milan.

The lanes lit up with fierce competition and electrifying finishes as 16-year-old Jaden Milan and 13-year-old Nathan Caasi rolled their way to glory in the latest edition of the King and Prince of the Lanes tournament at Central Lanes Bowling Center.

Jaden Milan was unstoppable from the start, torching the qualifying rounds of the King Division with a blistering 229 average and a 919 total—leaving the field in the dust and finishing a commanding 133 pins ahead of second seed Jevin Espiritu. The top ten qualifiers featured a tightly packed group of contenders: Espiritu edged by Juan Blas by a single pin, followed closely by Sean Lee, Corey Granillo, Ricky Duenas, Maria Wood, John Raymundo Harrison Abad, and Cameron Santos.

The elimination rounds brought high drama and fierce matchups. Granillo, Duenas, Blas, and Lee advanced in round one, with Duenas outlasting Granillo and Blas squeaking past Raymundo in a nail-biting extra-frame showdown. In the semifinals, Milan steamrolled Duenas while Espiritu toppled Blas, setting up a clash of the top seeds in the final. Milan then unleashed a strike storm, blasting a 256 game to Espiritu’s 166 and clinching his first King of the Lanes title in dominant fashion.

Prince of the Lanes August 2025 Nathan Caasi.

In the Prince Division, 13-year-old Nathan Caasi delivered a performance worthy of royalty. Trailing most of the match against second seed Logan Lapan, Caasi summoned a clutch turkey in the final frames, erasing Lapan’s handicap edge and snatching victory by just four pins. Earlier in the day, Caasi led the qualifying rounds by 11 pins over Lapan, with Michael Duenas, Gevon Fernandez, Xander Borja, Houston Martin, Naiyah Taimanglo, Christof Pineda, Leody Ersando, and Rafael De Guzman rounding out the top ten. In the semifinals, Caasi outdueled Taimanglo 205–169, while Lapan dispatched Duenas 173–130. The final was a thriller, but Caasi’s late-game heroics sealed his first-ever Prince of the Lanes title, marking a milestone in his rising bowling journey.

The excitement returns on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center.  Be there to witness the action and cheer on Guam’s next generation of bowling royalty.
