Bulldogs Blaze Ahead in ISA Girls Bowling Team Bakers Opener

Thursday, September 25, 2025 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

Okkodo High School Bulldogs top ISA HS Bowling League Baker’s Team on week 2 of competition.

The Okkodo Bulldogs roared into action on Day 1 of the ISA High School Girls Bowling Team Bakers event, claiming top honors at Central Lanes Bowling Center with a commanding performance that turned heads and raised cheers. The dynamic quartet of Shaylene Navarro, Anne Nicole Leonardo, Tiffany Tandoc, and Janeesha Concepcion delivered a powerful showing, outpacing the Simon Sanchez Sharks by a striking 46 pins.

SSHS Sharks 2nd place

The Sharks—anchored by Althea Pateno, Nichole Herrera, Lesli Valencia, and Isabella Poblete—held strong to secure second place, while the JFK Islanders team of Teanlay Mesa, Charlie Cabarles, Isabella Santos, and Anna Rice rolled into third, just 20 pins behind. The Southern Dolphins, led by Lynneia Quitugua, Cyrish Abad, Gabrielle Perez, and Sumahi Cruz, came heartbreakingly close to the podium, missing bronze by a mere 12 pins.

JFKHS Islanders 3rd place

Rounding out the leaderboard were the Tiyan Titans (Alise Blas, Sarah Tumamak, Zahrya Babauta, and Annielynn Palacios) in fifth, followed by the BTACS Bulls (Marijane Naes, Courage Owen, Layrah Ann Perez, and Tasi Iglesias) in sixth.

The Bulldogs’ stellar finish catapults them to 3rd place in the overall school rankings—just one point shy of the top spot jointly held by the Islanders and Sharks. The Dolphins slide to 4th, with the Titans and Bulls rounding out the standings.

The excitement continues next Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. as the Girls Singles competition takes center stage at Central Lanes Bowling Center. Expect fierce focus, high fives, and plenty of pin-crashing action as the athletes aim for individual glory!
