Sunday, September 28 2025 – Central Lanes Bowling Center, Tamuning, Guam

September 2025 King of the Lanes Cisco Uncangco

The lanes were electric and the pins were flying as the September edition of the King and Prince of the Lanes finals delivered heart-pounding action and unforgettable moments at Central Lanes Bowling Center!

In the King of the Lanes finals, top seed Cisco Uncangco proved why he’s the man to beat, seizing the crown with a clutch performance against 2nd seed Ray San Nicolas. After San Nicolas stumbled out of the gate, Uncangco pounced—covering his spares and unleashing back-to-back strikes in the seventh and eighth frames to lock in the win and punch his ticket to the year-end Grand Finals!

But Uncangco’s path to glory wasn’t without drama. In the semi-final round, he narrowly edged out 7th seed Ricky Duenas in a nail-biter. Duenas had a chance to advance after sparing a 10-pin, but his final ball drifted light into the head pin for a six-count—just short of the mark. Meanwhile, San Nicolas capitalized on missed opportunities by 9th seed Greg Borja, who couldn’t convert key spares in the closing frames.

Earlier in the day, Uncangco led the qualifying pack with a razor-thin three-pin edge over San Nicolas, averaging a sizzling 222 to San Nicolas’ 221. The top ten qualifiers included standout performances from Juan Blas, Noah Taimanglo, Corey Granillo, Matthew Cruz, Ricky Duenas, Jevin Espiritu, Greg Borja, and Aron Hernandez.

September 2025 Princess of the Lanes Jaeciline Espiritu.

In the Prince of the Lanes finals, it was a battle of nerves and finesse between 2nd seed Logan Lapan and 5th seed Jaeciline Espiritu. Lapan jumped ahead with a 12-pin lead after Espiritu’s early missteps, but the tide turned in the sixth frame. Espiritu clawed back, and when Lapan missed a crucial spare in the ninth, Espiritu unleashed a dramatic turkey in the tenth frame to clinch the title and secure his spot in the year-end finals!

Espiritu’s semi-final performance was nothing short of spectacular—he torched the lanes with six consecutive strikes, rolling a 247 to topple top seed Aiden Buentipo. Lapan earned his finals berth by outdueling 3rd seed Lyo Sawada.

The Prince qualifying field was stacked with talent, led by Buentipo, followed by Lapan, Sawada, Ezekiel Gatan, Espiritu, Xavier Quinata, Dominic David, Rafael De Guzman, Naiyah Taimanglo, and Arnold Hernandez.

Mark your calendars! The next King and Prince of the Lanes showdown is set for Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center. Come cheer on your favorites and witness the next chapter in this thrilling bowling saga!
