Pineda Powers Islanders to the Top in Thrilling Week 3 of ISA High School Bowling League

The lanes lit up with electric energy as JFK Islanders’ Christof Pineda delivered a jaw-dropping performance, rolling a season-high 481 pin set that included a blazing 257 game and a sizzling 224 follow-up—averaging a phenomenal 240! His clutch showing catapulted the Islanders to the top of the ISA High School Bowling League standings, igniting cheers and momentum for the team.

Billy Donor finishes in 2nd place.

Hot on his heels, Bulldog’s Billy Rey Donor kept the competition fierce with solid games of 215 and 204, locking in a 419 total (209 average) to secure the runner-up spot for Week 3. Titan’s Eyan Duenas wasn’t far behind, firing games of 203 and 192 for a strong 395 set and third-place finish.

Team Standings Heat Up! The Islanders claimed the top team points for Week 3 with 38, thanks to their dynamic quartet: Pineda, Zayne Ayongco, Hajin Lee, and Atticus Endo. The Simon Sanchez Sharks made waves with 41 points, led by the sharp shooting of Ethan Domingo, Christian Bernal, Gerwin Lagman, and Cyrus Abad. The Bulldogs rounded out the top three with 49 points, fueled by Donor, Kyle Leonardo, Rainen Fernando, and Javen Coronado.

Eyan Duenas ends week 3 in third place.

With just a slim 1.5-point lead over the Sharks, the Islanders are holding onto first place in the overall standings. Titans trail closely in third, just one point behind the Sharks, while the Bulldogs, Dolphins, Bulls, and Geckos remain in hot pursuit.

All Island Singles Showdown Set! Mark your calendars! The All Island Singles competition is locked in for Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center. The top bowlers from across the league are ready to battle for individual glory!

Leading the charge are Pineda, Donor, and Duenas—each bringing firepower and finesse to the lanes. The Sharks dominate the qualifiers with six bowlers: Domingo, Bernal, Lagman, Abad, Joseph Quintanilla, and Jyahvriel Pineda. The Islanders will be represented by Pineda, Ayongco, Lee, and Leland DeVera. Titans send Duenas, Xavier Sablan, Robert Peredo III, and Joseph Mesa. Bulldogs bring Donor, Leonardo, Fernando, and Coronado. Geckos roll in with Kaleb Santos, Geovanni Kintoki, and Josiah Palomo. The Bulls pin their hopes on Roen Abaya, while the Dolphins rally behind Brandon Manibusan.
