Tamuning, Guam — October 19, 2025 — The Central Lanes Bowling Center roared with excitement as Noah Taimanglo and Julia Lagman captured their first titles of the year in the October edition of the King and Prince of the Lanes tournament. Taimanglo, the top seed, seized an early opportunity in the championship match when second seed Gregory Borja missed a crucial pin six, giving Taimanglo a 12-pin lead. With a powerful four-bagger mid-game, Taimanglo widened the gap and never looked back, cruising to a commanding 235–185 victory.
Taimanglo’s road to the title began with a gritty semi-final win over seventh seed Evan Duenas, where he overcame an early deficit to finish strong with a 193–174 score. Borja, meanwhile, dominated his semi-final match against ninth seed Aron Hernandez, winning by a staggering 88 pins. Earlier in the day, Taimanglo led the qualifying field with a sharp 210 average on the short oil pattern, finishing 70 pins ahead of Borja. The top ten qualifiers included Steven Esplana, Ricky Duenas, Cisco Uncangco, Jay Leon Guerrero, Evan Duenas, Cameron Santos, Aron Hernandez, and Zayne Zamora.

In the Prince of the Lanes division, Julia Lagman showcased resilience and precision on the challenging short lane pattern. Despite both finalists struggling to find traction, Lagman kept her spare game intact and stayed within handicapping range of top seed Rafael De Guzman. With a narrow two-pin scratch advantage and just two frames remaining, Lagman held her nerve and outpaced De Guzman to claim her first-ever title — and with it, a coveted entry to the Year-End Grand Finale.
Their championship clash was set up by hard-fought semi-final victories, with De Guzman defeating sixth seed Xander Borja and Lagman edging out fourth seed Lisa Duenas in a thrilling finish. De Guzman had earlier topped the qualifying field, finishing 24 pins ahead of Lagman. Rounding out the top ten Prince division qualifiers were Nixon Caasi, Lisa Duenas, Ezekiel Gatan, Xander Borja, Kevin Fejeran, Eyan Duenas, Kaleb Santos, and Nathan Caasi.
The final monthly qualifier for the King and Prince of the Lanes series will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center. This marks the last chance for bowlers to earn their spot in the Year-End Grand Finals, scheduled for December 21, 2025 — a celebration of skill, spirit, and the rising stars of Guam’s bowling community.
