FD Friars Dominate Opening Day of IIAAG High School Bowling League

The lanes lit up with excitement as the IIAAG High School Bowling League launched its boy’s division competition, and the FD Friars wasted no time making a statement. With precision, power, and poise, the Friars swept the top three spots in a thrilling showcase of talent and teamwork.

Leading the charge was southpaw sensation Jaden Milan, who dazzled the crowd with a blistering 236 high game, the best of the day. Milan’s consistency earned him a 419 series, averaging an impressive 209 pins—a performance that set the tone for the Friars’ fiery start.

Hot on his heels was teammate Riel Brantley, who opened strong with a 210 first game and closed out with a 398 series, securing second place. Not far behind, Riatano West rolled a solid 194 opener and finished with a 365 set, locking in third and completing the Friars’ podium sweep.

The competition remained fierce as the HCA Eagles’ Austin Kim soared into fourth place with a 353 series, followed closely by Ezekiel Gatan in fifth, just ten pins behind. The battle for sixth was razor-thin, with Don Cabral missing by a single pin, while Dominic Cruz of FD trailed by two pins to land in seventh. Rounding out the top ten were Friars’ Jerome Aguon and Aiden Kim in eighth and ninth, and Eagle’s Seth Beaver in tenth.

After an electrifying first day of competition, the FD Friars surged to the top of the team standings with a commanding 11 points, showcasing their dominance early in the season. The HCA Eagles followed in second place with 35 points, keeping the pressure on as strong contenders. The St. John Knights secured third, while the CTECH Siheks landed in fourth, and the GACS Stars rounded out the top five. With momentum building and rivalries heating up, the league is off to a thrilling start.

With the Friars off to a roaring start and the Eagles close behind, the stage is set for an electrifying season of strikes, spares, and school spirit. Stay tuned as the pins keep falling and the leaderboard heats up!
