Thursday, November 13, 2025 – Central Lanes Bowling Center, Tamuning, Guam

The lanes lit up with energy and excitement as the FD Friars blazed their way to a commanding victory in the IIAAG High School Bowling League’s Bakers Team event, leaving no pins—or doubts—standing! The quartet of Aiden Kim, Dominic Cruz, Jaden Milan, and Ezekiel Gatan stormed back from an early deficit to crush the competition with a jaw-dropping 247 in Game 3. That fiery momentum carried them through a sizzling series of games—180, 226, 194, 214, and 177—catapulting them more than 250 pins ahead of their nearest rivals, the HCA Eagles.

The Eagles, led by Don Cabral, Jihoo Cha, Eric Yi, and Austin Kim, came out swinging with a strong 207 opener and held the early lead with a total of 1316 pins. But the Friars’ relentless rhythm proved too hot to handle as the Eagles’ momentum cooled in the later frames. Meanwhile, the Friars’ depth was on full display: their second team, featuring Tydus Baker, Ayden Buentipo, Raitano West, and John Fejeran, clinched third place with a solid 1201 set, highlighted by a high game of 192. Not far behind, another Friars squad—Eric Roberto, Jerome Aguon, Reydan Chun, and Shane Untalan—secured fourth with a 1148 total, showcasing the program’s impressive bench strength.

The St. John’s Knights, represented by Andrew Baker, Elijah Dewan, Noah Valencia, and Kavika Angoco, rounded out the top five with a spirited effort. With this electrifying win, the Friars tighten their grip on the top spot in the league standings, followed by the Eagles, Knights, Siheks, and Stars.
The action continues next week as the spotlight shifts to the girls’ Bakers Team format on Tuesday, November 18 at 4:00 p.m. at Central Lanes. Expect fierce competition, high-flying strikes, and plenty of team spirit as the league’s rising stars take center stage!
