Friars Strike Gold: FD Dominates the Lanes in IIAAG Bowling Showdown!

Central Lanes Bowling Center roared with Friar pride on Thursday, November 20, 2025, as the FD Friars rolled into the record books with a powerhouse performance in the IIAAG High School Bowling League.

Week 3 2025-2026 IIAAG High School League Top 3 (L-R): 2nd place Raitano West, 1st place Ayden Buentipo, and 3rd place

The Friars didn’t just show up—they showed out. In a jaw-dropping display of depth and dominance, FD swept the top seven spots in the boys division, led by Ayden Buentipo’s sizzling two-game series of 443 (210, 233)—the highest of the league so far. Buentipo’s precision and poise set the tone for a Friar freight train that couldn’t be stopped.

Right on his heels surged a tidal wave of Friar firepower, each athlete bringing the heat and lighting up the scoreboard! Raitano West blazed in with a fierce 381, followed closely by the relentless Jaden Milan at 379. Tydus Baker kept the momentum roaring with a powerful 376, while Ezekiel Gatan delivered a rock-solid 372. Not far behind, Dominic Cruz fired off a strong 369, and Andrew Losbanes rounded out the charge with a determined 361. Together, this electrifying lineup showcased the depth, grit, and unstoppable energy of the Friars—pure competitive brilliance in motion!

SJS Knight Elijah Dewan broke into the top 10 with a clutch 213 in Game 2, finishing 8th overall (345). But the Friars weren’t done—Jerome Aguon (9th) and Riel Brantly (10th) locked down the leaderboard, making it nine Friars in the top ten.

With this commanding performance, the Friars now sit alone atop the league standings, followed by the HCA Eagles and SJS Knights. HCA’s Don Cabral led his squad with a 12th-place finish, while the Knights continue to battle with grit and heart.

The Friars are sending a staggering 17 bowlers to the All-Island Finale on Tuesday, December 9, 2025—nearly half the field! Leading the charge are Buentipo, Milan, Brantly, West, Baker, Gatan, Cruz, Losbanes, and Aguon, joined by John Fejeran, Aiden Kim, Benj Encarnacion, Kandon Duenas, Shane Untalan, and Reydan Chun.

The HCA Eagles will be represented by Austin Kim, Don Cabral, Seth Beaver, Eric Moon, Jihoo Cha, and Logan Perez. The SJS Knights bring Elijah Dewan and Andrew Baker to the lanes, while Career Tech’s Jude Cruz and GACS Stars’ Jaden Hall round out the elite field.
