The atmosphere at Central Lanes Bowling Center in Tamuning was electric on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as the AOLG Cougars clawed their way to the top of the IIAAG High School Bowling League standings. Leading the charge was southpaw Summer Pinaula, who made history by rolling the first 200 game of the season with scores of 201 and 185, igniting cheers from teammates and fans alike. Close behind was Charmaine Tyquengco of the HCA Eagles, who showed consistency with back-to-back 173s for a 346 total, while Aha’ani Sablan kept the Cougars’ momentum alive with a strong third-place finish just 14 points behind. The leaderboard was stacked with talent as Rebecca Xu (HCA) secured fourth, Riona Brantley (AOLG) delivered a clutch fifth-place finish, and Ella Cruz (GACS Stars) claimed sixth, with Maia Paloma (AOLG) rounding out the Cougars’ top-four dominance. With those performances, the Cougars capped their run at 16 points, while the Eagles finished second with 25 points thanks to standout efforts from Rennie Choi (9th) and Kate Pedrajas (10th). The SJS Knights battled their way into third, led by Carmel Mariano (8th) and Olivia Lee, who tied for a top-10 spot alongside Pedrajas.

Adding to the excitement, the All Island roster has been announced, showcasing the top 24 bowlers who will represent the best of Guam’s high school talent. Headlining the list is none other than Summer Pinaula (AOLG), joined by stars like Charmaine Tyquengco (HCA), Aha’ani Sablan (AOLG), Rebecca Xu (HCA), Rennie Choi (HCA), Riona Brantley (AOLG), Ella Cruz (GACS), Maia Paloma (AOLG), Kate Pedrajas (HCA), Carmel Mariano (SJS), and many more rising athletes who have proven their skill and determination on the lanes. This roster is a true celebration of school pride, teamwork, and the growing strength of Guam’s youth bowling community.
The season is far from over, with more thrilling matchups on the horizon. Fans can look forward to the Girls Bakers Team Event on Tuesday, December 2, followed by the Boys Bakers Team Event on Thursday, December 4. The excitement continues with the All-Island Singles Competition on Tuesday, December 9, and culminates in the All-Island Bakers Team Finals on Sunday, December 11. With the Cougars roaring, the Eagles soaring, and the Knights charging forward, the IIAAG High School Bowling League promises more unforgettable strikes, rivalries, and celebrations as Guam’s youth athletes continue to shine.
