Saturday, January 17, 2026 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

The Guam All Island Bowling Championship — proudly presented by Wendy’s and Coldstone Creamery — delivered a thrilling showcase of talent at Central Lanes Bowling Center as the island crowned its new Singles Champions.
Islander standout Christof Pineda stormed through the elimination rounds with confidence and precision. Entering as the ISA’s second‑ranked bowler and finishing third in qualifying, Pineda flipped the script once match play began. He opened his run with a 183–147 quarterfinal victory over BTACS’ Roen Leonen Abaya, then powered past fellow Islander and No. 2 qualifier Zayne Ayangco, 218–179, in a high‑energy semifinal showdown.
With momentum fully on his side, Pineda delivered a championship performance worthy of the spotlight, defeating 5th seed Geovanni Kintoki of the GW Geckos 227–176 to claim the Singles title.
Kintoki, however, authored one of the tournament’s most electric storylines. He crushed the FD Friars’ hopes with a dominant 211–123 quarterfinal win over 4th seed Kandon Duenas, then stunned top qualifier Dominic Cruz in the semifinals. Using both sides of the head pin to his advantage, Kintoki fired a massive 267–175 game to punch his ticket to the finals.

The qualifying rounds were a shootout of their own. Dominic Cruz, ranked 8th entering the event, lit up the lanes with games of 202, 246, and 236 for a 684 series, 228 average, earning the top seed before ultimately finishing 3rd. Ayangco came out blazing with 230 and 222, but a late 185 opened the door for Cruz to steal the pole position; Ayangco settled into 4th.
Pineda’s steady 597 series placed him third in qualifying, followed by Duenas (582), Kintoki (553), and Abaya (525). Just outside the cut was Ezekiel Gatan, missing by only six pins. Jaden Milan secured 8th with a 504, while Ayden Buentipo and Raitano West tied for 9th at 493.
The championship delivered everything Guam’s bowling community loves — fierce competition, breakout performances, and unforgettable moments from the island’s rising stars.
The Girls Division lit up the lanes as the AOLG Cougars’ Summer Pinaula became the only league champion to turn her title into an All‑Island crown. The sophomore stayed cool under pressure, rolling past the Eagles’ Charmaine Tyquiengco in the championship match with a solid 157–131 finish.

Top qualifier Summer Pinaula set the tone early, edging Tyquiengco by just two pins to grab the No. 1 spot heading into match play. She kept the momentum going in the semifinals, defeating the Bulldogs’ Anne Nichole Leonardo, 165–137, to punch her ticket to the finale. Tyquiengco earned her place in the championship by powering through the Cougars’ Aha’ani Sablan, 183–120, in a strong semifinal performance.
The quarterfinals brought plenty of excitement. Sablan knocked out the Islanders’ Charlie Cabarles, 158–136, while Leonardo advanced with a confident 148–111 win over the Dolphins’ Lynneia Quitugua.
Qualifying was a tight race from start to finish. Pinaula topped the leaderboard with a 469 series, followed closely by Tyquiengco at 467. Sablan secured third with 438, with Leonardo (430), Quitugua (420), and Cabarles (419) right behind. Islanders’ Anna Rice and the Eagles’ Denise Garcia tied for seventh at 409, keeping the cut line close. Rounding out the top ten were the Eagles’ Rebecca Xu in ninth (401) and the Cougars’ Alexia Delfin in tenth (396).
