Sunday, March 5, 2017 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

In an exciting monthly youth finale, monthly top seed qualifier Jacelyn Espiritu snatched the March title by using her 13-pin handicap advantage to slip past 2nd seed James Doyle 204-203. The match was all knotted up after six frames when Espiritu fell a mark behind after opening in the seventh. However, she was able to match Doyle’s output from the eighth frame to the final stanza and hit a nine pin count in the extra frame to seal the deal.
Doyle used his 22-pin handicap advantage in the semi-final match against 4th seed Jeremiah Camacho as the lower seed needed to punch out in the final stanza to cover the difference. Unfortunately, pin two stood in his way on the tenth frame delivery which handed the match to Doyle.
Camacho erased a 40-pin handicap advantage in the first step ladder match from 3rd seed Frank Manibusan Jr. early in the match and cruised on to the semi-finals.
Espiritu led all bowlers in the qualifying round with an 861 total including handicap followed by Doyle, Manibusan, Camacho, Annastashia Leon Guerrero, Naiyah Taimanglo, Jaymason Doyle, Alexandria Loyola, Sebastian Loyola and Josiah Lanuza who rounded off the top ten.
The next Guam Youth Bowler of the Month is scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
