Sunday, March 1, 2020 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam
Frank Manibusan Jr. used his newly drilled Storm Phaze III bowling ball to land his first 2020 youth title beating Noah Taimanglo in the championship match. An early error by top seed Taimanglo gave Manibusan a 15-pin lead which Taimanglo chipped into with a turkey during mid-game to take the lead by four pins. Manibusan pocketed a two-bagger on the tenth frame to edge Taimanglo who conceded with a spare-count combination for a 201-193 tilt.
In the semi-final match, Manibusan bettered 2nd seed Jeremiah Camacho 187-159 to reach the final match. He opened the quarter-final match against 4th seed Bryce Aguilar with a six-bagger, erasing the handicap deficit and posting a 28-pin victory.
Taimanglo led all bowlers during the qualifying rounds held earlier in the morning with two games of 257 for a 922 total (230 average). Camacho finished in second with a 881 set followed by Manibusan, Aguilar and Bryce Jacosalem rounding out the top five.
The next Pin Point Guam youth bowler of the month will be held on Sunday, April 5, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
