The GEDA Youth Bowling League wrapped up over the weekend with a Pins Over Average challenge finale. The top bowlers in the girls, boy’s juniors, and seniors competed in their final event of the year with prizes being awarded to the top four bowlers and medals presented to the top three bowlers in each division.
Xerya Anderson took top honors in the girl’s division with Leah Olkeriil and Ariana Ada finishing in second and third place. Justin Bersamin, Shawn Estella, and Eyan Duenas were the top three bowlers in the junior division while Sean Lee, Ricardo Duenas II, and Calvin Cabuhat took the three posts in the senior division.
Each bowler competed over three games to qualify for the one-game roll off where Justin Bersamin finished with 38 pins over average to claim the first-place prize of a high-end bowling ball courtesy of Pin Point Guam. Xerya Anderson finished in second place with 26 pins overage for a mid-range bowling ball, Sean Lee ended up in third with 22 pins over average for a pair of 3G shoes and Shawn Estella was fourth place and awarded a two-ball tote bag.
