Guam’s tenpin bowlers made their mark on the international stage at the U22 Hong Kong Storm Cup, held at the Top Bowl Tenpin Bowling Center in Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR. Leading the charge were Daniel Lee and Jeremiah Camacho, who both rolled identical 1057-pin sets to headline Guam’s performance. Lee stormed to the top of Squad C and compiled a two-day total of 2113 pins, finishing third overall in the event. His second-day performance edged past his opening set by just one pin, underlining his consistency and competitive edge. Defending Champion Camacho followed closely, taking third in Squad C and tying for sixth overall with a strong 2093 two-day finish.

Other standout efforts came from Joonsung Park, who closed out Day 2 with a 936-pin set and narrowly missed advancing by just three marks, totaling 1767 pins. Evan Duenas turned in a 1736, followed by Naiyah Taimanglo, who bounced back with an 880 on Day 2 to reach a 1671 total. Rounding out the U22 division were Dylan Taimanglo (1646), Kevin Fejeran (1590), Gevon Fernandez (1523), Sean Lee (1457), Charlie Cabarles, Juliana Lagman, and Kamilah Leones, who all added to Guam’s spirited representation.
In the U18 category, Ezekiel Gatan delivered one of the standout performances, rolling a 288 second game leaving a pin 8 in the tenth frame to finish with 1027 pins on Day 2 and close with a 1950 total for a 7th-place finish. His effort earned him a coveted spot advancing to U18 quarter finals. Just missing the cut was Eyan Duenas, who came up 12 pins short with an 1809 total. He was followed by teammates Tydus Baker (1790), Graig Reyes (1742), Rafael De Guzman (1714), Aaron Cunanan (1590), and both Jade Milan and Ayden Buentipo, who matched scores with a 1540 total—Buentipo surging back on the second day to equal Milan’s tally.

The U15 division saw rising talent from Guam as well, with Eyan Duenas placing 11th, Baker in 15th, Buentipo 21st, Aubreale Charfarous in 27th, Summer Pinaula 34th, Sylas Mandapat 36th, and Ah’han Sablan finishing 37th. Their efforts marked a promising future for Guam’s youth bowlers on the global stage.

As the competition heads into its final day, semi-finalists will carry over scores from the second round into four additional games. The top 16 across 12 games will advance into an electrifying single-game elimination bracket, where the ultimate champions of both the U22 and U18 divisions will be crowned.
