The September edition of the IT&E King and Prince of the Lanes delivered a spectacular afternoon of high‑pressure bowling, dramatic momentum swings, and clutch shotmaking as both divisions crowned new monthly champions in electrifying fashion.
The King Division championship came down to a razor‑tight showdown between second seed RJ Santos and seventh seed Ray San Nicolas, with both bowlers trading blows frame after frame. Through nine frames, the match remained deadlocked—each athlete refusing to give an inch.
Holding a slim seven‑pin advantage heading into the final frame, San Nicolas faced a must‑strike situation after Santos closed with a powerful turkey to apply maximum pressure. With the title on the line, San Nicolas’ final shot sailed high into the headpin, leaving the 1‑2‑4, sealing Santos’ dramatic victory and his first King title of the year.
The semi‑final between top seed Cisco Uncangco and Ray San Nicolas was one of the day’s most gripping battles. San Nicolas jumped ahead early with a turkey, countered by Uncangco’s double. A costly 6‑2 count in the seventh frame swung the lead to Uncangco by a single pin, setting up a tense finish.
Both bowlers struck in the foundation frame, keeping the match tied entering the final shot. Uncangco’s twelfth ball hit the pocket but left a stubborn pin seven, opening the door for San Nicolas—who delivered the decisive strike to win by a single pin and advance to the finale.
Earlier in the day, Uncangco showcased elite form in the four‑game roll‑off, averaging 233 pins per game with scores of 255, 207, 231, and 242. His 141‑pin lead topped the field, followed by Santos, Jay Leon Guerrero, Maria Wood, Ricky Duenas, Jaden Milan, Ray San Nicolas, Noah Taimanglo, Jevin Espiritu, and Jeremiah Camacho.
In the Prince Division, Roen Abaya continued his breakout season, defeating Hairo Abad to secure his second title of the year—becoming the first back‑to‑back Prince champion of 2026. Abaya delivered a steady, confident performance throughout the finale, while Abad struggled to find his rhythm.
Both Abaya and Abad advanced to the championship match by upsetting the division’s top seeds, Michael Duenas and Naiyah Taimanglo, in the semi‑final rounds.
Michael Duenas topped the Prince Division qualifiers with an 858 total, edging Taimanglo by ten pins. Nathan Caasi opened strong with games of 222 and 231, finishing third with an 819 series. Rounding out the top ten were Aryan Dewan, Coen Asanoma, Aiden Kim, Roen Abaya, Jiannah Abasta, Hairo Abad, and Gina San Nicolas.
