Guam Youth Bowling, sponsored by Triple J, kicks off activities starting this May. These events include the Guam Youth Bowler of the Month Tournament, Guam Youth Bowling Clinic and the Guam Youth Bowling Summer and Winter Leagues. All events are held at the Central Lanes Bowling Center and sanctioned by the Guam Bowling Congress.
The Guam Youth Bowler of the Month is a competition held every first Sunday of the month for bowlers 22 years of age and below. The event is handicapping based with the winners being awarded medals. The monthly tournament culminates in the year end Guam Youth Bowler of the Year where the top three bowlers are rewarded with bank vouchers for their accomplishments.
The Guam Youth Bowling Clinic is held every Saturday, 1:00 p.m. for interested students 22 years of age and below. The program trainers include members of the National Team, Youth National Team and volunteers. The program instills fundamentals to prepare our young members for league play, local and international competitions.
The Guam Youth Bowling Summer League will kick off Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The league is a three-person team format for students 18 years of age and below. The league will run for 16 weeks culminating in August 19, 2017. Thereafter, the Winter League will begin on Saturday, October 14, 2017, run for twelve weeks and end on December 30, 2017.
