Taimanglo makes U22 Fukuoka cut

Saturday, August 11, 2018 – HAKATA STAR LANES, Fukuoka, Japan

Noah Taimanglo had a similar start to Camacho in the U22 Fukuoka Summer Cup as he was unable to break the six hundred mark until day three.  Thereafter, he followed suit with the older competitors as he joined the strike fest.  Taimanglo qualified in 26th place with a 1434 total stemming from three game sets of 762 and 672.  His high set included games of 257, 247 and 258.

Taimanglo started the eight games contest in promising form stringing a five bagger. Unfortunately a pocket 7-10 split limited his scoring capacity to a 224 game.  After a three bagger to open game two, he struggled the remaining game finishing with 193 pins followed by games of 195, 220, 180, 208, 179 and 156 to finish off the event.

Jae Sang Lee finished the qualifying round with a 1304 total on sets of 653 and 651 while Frank Manibusan Jr. dropped in sets of 648 and 646 for a 1294 total.
