After the grandeur opening ceremony held at the Megalanes E-mart Bowling Center in Kuching, Malaysia, Guam’s representatives to the Asian Intercity Bowling Championship competed in the singles event.
Michael Gadia led the eight bowlers contingent finishing in eighth place with a set of 1286 followed by Noah Taimanglo’s 1282 in ninth. Frank Manibusan Jr. ranked 21st, Jeremiah Camacho 23rd, Sebastian Loyola 33rd, Jay Leon Guerrero 43rd, Charlie Catbagan 49th and Cesar Villanueva in 52nd.
Brandon Ting of Padawan claimed gold with a 1377 total. Michael Tsang took silver while Yusuf Abdul Raof of Shah Alam finished with a bronze.
Competition continues with the Doubles and Team event over the next two days. The top sixteen male competitors will qualify for the coveted Masters crown.
