On a light day of competition, Ray San Nicolas blasted lanes 29 and 30 with a pair of 246 games to lead the singles event of the 2019 Guam National Bowling Championship at the Central Lanes Bowling Center. His 704 three game set along with 24 pins of handicap leads the pack followed by Justin Mendiola, Jay Leon Guerrero, Nikko Guiterrez and Cesar Villanueva rounds off the top five.
Michael Wong and Zayne Zamora used their handicap advantage to take pole position in the doubles event with a 1432 total, Jimmy Pinaula and Manny Tagle tagged second followed by Nikko Gutierrez and Jay Leon Guerrero; Charlie Catbagan and Dorian Herrero and Leon Guerrero and Jeremiah Camacho rounded off the top five positions.
Jimmy Pinaula leads the All Events with a 1270 set followed by Jay Leon Guerrero, Manny Tagle, Charlie Catbagan and Jeremiah Camacho.
The event includes a singles, doubles and trio format with the top 16 bowlers in the Classified, Seniors and Open division moving into the grand finals which will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020.
Competition continues tomorrow, 9:30 a.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
