Zamora takes pole position in 2019 Guam National Championships singles event

Saturday, January 18, 2020 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

20200118_125637Zayne Zamora used his 24 pins handicap to snatch pole position from day 1 leader Ray San Nicolas.  Zamora punched a line of 202, 211 and 279 for a 691 scratch set to register a 764 total beating out San Nicolas’ 728 set.  Claricelle Aniceto moved up to third with a 712 total bowling a 538 set inclusive of 174 pins of handicap.  Senior bowlers Jimmy Pinaula and Manny Tagle round off the top five as of 5:00 p.m.

Wong and Zamora continue to hold top post in the doubles event with their 1432 set as Pinaula and Tagle’s 1412 are in second.  Aniceto and Josiah Lanuza moved up to third with a 1373.

In the trio event, Ray San Nicolas, Jay Leon Guerrero, and Jeremiah Camacho posted a 1393 total for the lead followed by Pinaula, Aniceto and Tagle’s 1350.  Josiah Lanuza, Zayne Zamora and Cesar Villanueva are currently in third with a 1331 total.

Action continues this event with open qualifying and will be extended onto Sunday, January 19, 2020 with squads at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

The Senior Division finals will be held at 10:00 a.m. while the Classified will immediately proceed at 12:00 noon.  The Open finals will be pushed back to 2:00 p.m.
