Jay Leon Guerrero and Nick Gutierrez stamped their ticket to the year end finals as they marched on to victory during the monthly King and Prince of the Lanes tournament held on Sunday, March 28 at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
Leon Guerrero converted a 4-5-7 split on the tenth frame and snagged an eight pin count to edge nineth seed Evan Duenas by a stick after the latter went through the beak in the final stanza leaving a 6-7-10 split that crushed his chances at his first monthly King title. In the semi-final round, top seed Leon Guerrero ousted seventh seed Zayne Zamora while Duenas discarded second seed Cesar Villanueva.

Gutierrez claimed his first Prince title of the year knocking off 15-year-old Aron Hernandez as he led from the on set of the match and never trailed during the course of the game.
Leon Guerrero led the qualifying rounds toppling 842 pins for a 78-pin lead over Villanueva as Darian Borja, Ricky Duenas, Aaron Elliott, Jae Sang Lee, Zayne Zamora, Nikko Gutierrez, Evan Duenas and Brian Manibusan finished in order to qualify for the match play rounds.
Gutierrez led the Prince field with a narrow margin of three pins over Claricelle Lanuza followed by Rolly Hernandez, Rudy Palaganas and Aron Hernandez.
The next King and Prince of the Lanes will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
