Elliott, Flores bag October titles

Sunday, October 17, 2021 – Central Lanes Bowling Center, Tamuning, Guam

Aaron Elliott bagged his third title of the year and clinched pole position for the year end Grand Finals as he easily dispatched 9th seed Jeremiah Camacho during the monthly finals of the Budweiser King of the Lanes.  Elliott opened the finals match with a turkey then closed it with another turkey for a 218 to 160 victory.

Elliott averaged 226 pins per game during the qualifying round held earlier in the day with a set of 201, 216, 248 and 242 to outpace 2nd seed Brian Manibusan by 55 pins.  Manibusan was upended by Camacho during the semi-final match by a margin of 208-166, while Elliott ran past 7th seed Ricky Duenas 248-211 to set up the monthly finals.

Ryan Flores dominated the Budweiser Prince series by outdueling last month’s champion Kaimana Bamba in the finals 183+36 to 169+24.  Flores finished the qualifier as the top seed eliminating 4th seed Robert Leones in the semi-final 191+36 to 147+20; while Bamba defeated 2nd seed Virgil Toledo 183+24 to 142+24 to advance to the monthly finals.

November 21 wraps up the 2021 series as bowlers will try to qualify for the year end finals where the top sixteen bowlers from each division to compete on December 19, 2021, at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
