After a year of postponement and another year that brought uncertainty, the Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes 2021 Grand Finals are set to be contested by Guam’s top bowlers. The event will be held at the Central Lanes Bowling Center on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 1:30 p.m.
The modified grand finals will feature the top sixteen bowlers in each division who will compete for the coveted crown and prizes. The competitors will be tested by the three different patterns that will be laid out which include short, medium, and long oil. The regulations are available through the link provided.
Veteran National Team bowlers Aaron Elliott, Ricky Duenas, and Jay Leon Guerrero led the year-long King qualifying event as Elliott won three monthly titles while Duenas and Leon Guerrero claimed two each. Other monthly winners include Darrell Scott, Cesar Villanueva, Gregory Borja, and Maria Wood. Bowlers qualifying on points merit include youth standout Jeremiah Camacho, Evan Duenas, Charlie Catbagan, RJ Santos, Brian Manibusan, Manny Tagle, Ray Cruz, Mike Sanchez, and Brandon Manibusan.
The Prince of the Lanes bowlers includes two-time monthly champions Cameron Santos and Claricelle Lanuza along with monthly champions Gomez Martinez, Kaimana Bamba, Nick Gutierrez, Arnold Hernandez, Ryan Flores, Jeremy Leal, and Corey Roberto. Points qualifiers include Aron Hernandez, Rolly Hernandez, Corey Granillo, Julius Checa, Rudy Palaganas, Lisa Duenas, and Ken Duenas.
All bowlers must check-in by 1:15 p.m. Alternates will be allowed to participate based on availability of slots.
