Islanders, Warriors, and Cougars rack up pins for win

The JFK Islanders boys team picked up a win during their inaugural season with the IIAAG High School Bowling League as they topped St. Paul Warriors team 12.5 to 27.5. The Islanders occupied the top three slots as Micaiah Benton took top honors with a two game set of 335 and Tristan Adonay finished in second with a 306. Andrei Tala tied with the Warrior’s Miles Perez for third place while Ryusei Santos of JFK rounded off the top four competitors for JFK. The Warrior’s finished in 9th and 10th with Nicolas Delin and Colin Perez.
In girls’ action, St. Paul’s beat JFK 16-22. The Warrior’s Alexa Anderson topped the field while JFK’s Juliana Lagman and Kamilah Leones finished in 2nd and 3rd. The Warrior’s Maddie Acda, Xerya Andersen and Phoebe Perez completed the team’s top four finishers.

Academy of our Lady of Guam defeated Guahan Academy Charter School in the afternoon series 13-29. Cougars Eriana Ada finished the two-game set with a 304 series as GACS’ Kayah Untalan finished in second to lead GACS. Francin Cabuhat, Alissa Rabon and Alliah Ferrer took 3rd through 5th to help the Cougars seal the match as Ella Cruz and Beatrix Cruz finished in 8th and 9th respectively.




IIAAG High School Bowling League continues Monday, March 27, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
