In an all-southpaw monthly finale, Jeremiah Camacho used a turkey in the onset of the game to beat out 2nd seed Brian Manibusan to claim his first title of the year in the 2023 edition of the Budweiser King of the Lanes. Camacho finished the match with a 193 game and was able to keep Manibusan at bay on lanes 13 and 14 as the latter was unable to find the kick, he needed to get past the younger foe bowling a 173 game.
In the semi-final matches, Camacho beat out fellow National Youth teammate and top seed Noah Taimanglo 191-170 jumping to an early lead that he was able to sustain throughout the match. Across the bracket, second seed Manibusan opened with a turkey and cruised past 4th seed RJ Santos 174-148 to set up the monthly finals.
Taimanglo led the field on the medium 40’ pattern lane condition with a 202 average, followed by Manibusan, Ray San Nicolas, Santos, Ian Cabrera, Camacho, Aaron Elliott, Cameron Santos, JD Castro and Von Cabral rounded off the top 10 who advanced to the elimination round.

The Prince of the Lanes was an all-family affair in the final two rounds. Isaiah Macias edged out sibling Ricky Macias in the monthly finals match 172 to 168 as the latter was unable to take advantage of a double in the final stanza. The semi-final match pitted top seed Jazia Abanta as she fell to Ricky by two pins when Macias struck in the extra frame. Abante’s last shot went right of the head pin as her chances to advance went array. Isaiah Macias beat his other sibling, second seed Ray Macias in the second semi-final match 204-138.

Jazia Abasta led the Prince qualifying field followed by Ray Macias, Mike Sanchez, Isaiah Macias, Ricky Macias, Arlene Reyes, Matt Palarca, Henry Abasta, Tristan Adonay, and Derrick Taimanglo
The next Budweiser King and Prince of the Lanes will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
