Raiders Roll Big, Manta Rays Shine in Action‑Packed Baker’s Round

Monday, May 4, 2026 – CENTRAL LANES BOWLING CENTER, Tamuning, Guam

St. Anthony Catholic School Raiders 1st place

The SACS Raiders came into the Team Baker’s round with one mission—set the tone for the All‑Island Finale—and they delivered a statement performance that electrified Central Lanes. Behind the firepower of Dylan Cruz, Aryan Dewan, Xavier Quinata, and anchorman Lyo Sawada, the Raiders unleashed a dominant offensive surge that left the field scrambling to keep pace.

SACS lit up the lanes with league‑high games of 216 and 211, powering their way to a massive 1,469 total, finishing 181 pins ahead of the AMS Dragons—who had claimed top honors in the opening round. The Raiders wasted no time, jumping out to an early 30‑pin lead and continuing to widen the gap with every game as their momentum snowballed.

Andersen Middle School Dragons 2nd place

The AMS Dragons—featuring Louie Jin Chapman, James Powers, Jaiden Beresford, and Nathan Caasi—put together a steady and composed outing, but the relentless scoring pace of SACS proved too much to match across the eight‑game battle.

In third place, the SIFA Manta Rays squad of Shaydan Bukikosa, John Tumamak, Silis Brown, and Alexander Espenilla held their ground, finishing 198 pins back in a competitive boys division.

The girls division delivered its own fireworks, with the SIFA Manta Rays flipping the script and storming to the top of the standings. The quartet of Tasilyn Reyes, Aubreale Charfauros, Thea Doromal, and Myrah Thogonmar dominated the field, defeating the SJS Knights by a commanding 130‑pin margin. The Knights lineup—Paloma Cook, Green Park, Chlorie Lee, and Roxanne Reed—held strong but couldn’t withstand SIFA’s consistency and clutch shot‑making.

St. John’s School Knights 3rd place

The battle for third came down to the wire, with the SACS Raiders narrowly edging DCS Veritas by just five pins. Raiders bowlers Kendall Fisher, Sophia Takahashi, Haley Pinaula, and Isabella Palomo held their nerve in the final frames to secure the podium finish.

As the league season reaches its climax, all eyes now turn to the All‑Island Singles Championship, where the top 30 boys and top 30 girls will compete for the coveted title. Both defending champions are set to return, ready to defend their crowns and prove once again why they stand atop Guam’s middle school bowling ranks.

The Singles Championship will take place on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated Team Baker’s Finals on Tuesday, May 12 at 4:00 p.m., both at Central Lanes Bowling Center.

The stage is set. The momentum is building. And the island’s best young bowlers are ready to roll for glory.
