The 2026 Labor Day Bowling Tournament delivered an exciting afternoon of competition as 39 bowlers took to the lanes for a six‑game qualifying round followed by intense playoff action across both the Open and Graded Divisions. The event showcased clutch performances, dramatic momentum swings, and a pair of champions who rose to the occasion under pressure.
The Open Division finale was a thriller from start to finish. Top seed Jeremiah Camacho and fifth seed Dominic Cruz battled through a tightly contested two‑game set that ended in a sudden‑death, one‑ball rolloff.
Camacho opened the match strong, but Cruz ignited a six‑bagger to surge ahead and claim the first game, 265–226. Camacho regrouped in the second game, maintaining a narrow lead while Cruz stayed within striking distance. In the closing frames, Cruz suffered a stoned 7‑pin, allowing Camacho to secure the game 227–216 and force the playoff.
In the decisive extra frame, Cruz again left a 7‑pin, and Camacho capitalized with a strike to clinch the 2026 Labor Day Open Division title.
The road to the finals was equally intense. Camacho swept Christoff Pineda in straight games during the semifinals, while Cruz outlasted second seed Ricky Duenas after Duenas forced an extra ball to tie the match 1–1. Cruz struck on the rolloff to advance.
In the quarterfinals, Pineda continued his striking momentum, defeating third seed Cisco Uncangco in two straight games. Cruz edged fourth seed Ray San Nicolas in both games to earn his semifinal berth.
Camacho topped the six‑game qualifier with a 1302 series, averaging 217 and finishing 23 pins ahead of Duenas, who narrowly secured the second bye over Uncangco by four pins. San Nicolas posted a 1225 set, with Cruz just 10 pins behind. Pineda claimed the final playoff spot with a clutch 247 game to surpass RJ Santos.
Graded Division Results
The Graded Division featured a compelling matchup between youth and experience. Lisa Duenas and Aubreale Charfauros tied in their opening finals game, forcing a one‑ball rolloff that Duenas won with a strike. Riding that momentum, Duenas went on to secure a 2–0 victory and the Graded Division championship.
