Week 3 of the ISA High School Bowling League exploded out of the gates as Bulldogs’ Javen Coronado set the tone early, firing a sharp 217 powered by a clutch five‑bagger to seize the opening lead. But the Bulls were ready to answer. Coen Enzo Asanoma matched Coronado’s firepower with his own five‑bagger, closing Game 1 with a strong 199 and signaling that the battle for the top spot was far from settled.
And when the dust finally settled, it was Asanoma who delivered the knockout punch. His composed and confident 201 in Game 2 vaulted him into pole position, securing the Week 3 crown with a commanding finish.
The race for second was a thriller in itself. Sharks’ Jhayvriel Pineda and Nathane Herrera locked in a dramatic tie at 380, each showcasing consistency and grit. Pineda rolled a steady 180–200 set, while Herrera countered with 179–201, creating one of the tightest duels of the season.
Coronado’s early momentum carried him to fourth place with a 364, followed closely by Bulls’ Roen Abaya, who finished just four pins behind. Rounding out the top ten were Titans’ Eyan Duenas, Bulldogs’ Kyle Leonardo, Sharks’ Edward San Nicolas, Bulldogs’ Trevhin Lumbang and Sharks’ Ethan Domingo
In the team standings, the Sharks continue to dominate with 22 points, while the Bulldogs hold strong in second at 31, and the Bulls sit in third with 59.
The spotlight now shifts to the ladies as competition resumes on Thursday, September 29, 2026, at 4:15 p.m. with the Girls Singles Event at the Central Lanes Bowling Center. With momentum building and rivalries sharpening, Week 3 has set the stage for an electrifying finish to the month.
