The 2026–2027 ISA High School Bowling League delivered a finale worthy of a season packed with rising stars, clutch shots, and unforgettable momentum swings. Under the bright lights of Central Lanes, the island’s best high school bowlers battled for the coveted ISA All‑Island Singles Championships — and the finish was nothing short of electric.

The boy’s championship erupted into a dramatic showdown as Tiyan Titans Junior Eyan Duenas stormed back to capture back-to-back ISA high school singles title. Facing the relentless consistency of Simon Sanchez Sharks’ Nathane Herrera, Duenas found himself in early trouble after two missed spares. Herrera pounced immediately, opening with a double and then a turkey to widen the gap.

But the Titan refused to fold.

Duenas answered with a turkey of his own — eventually unleashed a six‑bagger that ignited the crowd and flipped the match on its head. Shot after shot buried into the pocket as he surged past Herrera, sealing the championship with a commanding 225–182 victory.

The semi‑final was a nail‑biter as Herrera, the second seed, narrowly slipped past teammate Ethan Domingo by a mark, setting the stage for the dramatic finale.

Earlier in the three‑game qualifying round, Domingo opened hot with a 211, sharing the top spot with Sharks teammate Christian Bernal. But Duenas climbed steadily, firing 201 and 205 on his way to a 602 series — good enough to claim the No. 1 seed. Herrera followed with 562, edging Domingo by two pins, while Bulls standout Roen Abaya finished fourth, eleven pins behind.

The top ten medalists featured Bernal, Gecko’s Bourne Procalla, Sharks’ Edward San Nicolas, Bulldogs’ Kyle Leonardo, Sharks’ Gerwin Lagman, and Bulldogs’ Treyton Meno, who held off Dolphins’ Hairo Abad by a single pin for the tenth spot.

The girls’ finale delivered pure drama in the tenth frame.

Southern High Dolphins Senior Crystal Abad stepped up needing a double to stay alive — and she delivered. Two clutch strikes sent the crowd roaring, followed by a composed spare on a seven‑count leave to lock in her score.

Across the lane, GW Geckos Freshman and top seed Aubreale Charfauros — who had dominated the field all day — fired a perfect pocket shot in her final frame. But fate intervened. The ball smashed the pins cleanly, only for a heartbreaking solid 7‑10 split to stand tall, denying her the title by three pins.

It was a stunning finish to Charfauros’ high school debut, and a triumphant moment for Abad, who claimed the championship after surviving a tough semi‑final against JFK’s Charissa Pineda, winning by five marks.

Charfauros had earlier outpaced the entire 24‑player field by a massive 86 pins, securing the top seed with authority. Abad finished second in the three‑game set, three pins ahead of Pineda, who edged Sharks’ Andrea Garcia by a single pin to advance.

The top ten medalists included Islanders’ Tina Lin, Sharks’ Isabella Poblete, Islanders’ Anna Rice, Dolphins’ Marietta Duenas, Titans’ Sarah Tumamak, and Bulldogs’ Beth Mendiola.

With the singles titles now etched into ISA history, all eyes turn to the final battle of the season: The Team Event Championships — Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., Central Lanes Bowling Center.

The stage is set. The momentum is building. And the teams are ready to roll for glory.
