Okkodo boys slipped past the Father Duenas Memorial School to remain atop the standings with an unblemished 4-0-0 record. In singles competition, Tyler Claros and Jeremiah Camacho won their match up against Cam Santos and Noah Taimanglo to pull ahead by 4 points, however FD’s doubles team of Jordan Hattori and Paul Perez closed the gap winning three points to one. Both schools drew three points a piece in the team event for the final tally of 8-6 in favor of Okkodo High School. The loss by FD dropped them to third place as the combined team of Tiyan and George Washington High School takes sole possession of second place with a 3-0-1 record. Camacho registered the high game of the day with a 236 score while Taimanglo’s 411 two game series was the highest set.
In the girls division, Okkodo High School and Notre Dame High School split their match with seven points each. The tie keeps Okkodo a top the standings with a record of 3-0-1 while Notre Dame stays put in third place with a 1-2-1 record. Jaecelyn Espiritu was the top female competitor with a two-game series of 332 and 172 game.
Team competition concludes on Saturday, May 12, 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center while the All-Island competition takes place on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
