It was all smiles and joy as Gregory Borja and Dominic Uson claimed their first titles of the year during the Pin Point Guam King and Prince of the Lanes monthly championship held at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.

Gregory Borja opened the King of the Lanes elimination round in 4th place ousting teen Frank Manibusan Jr.  He threw eleven strikes against Aaron Elliott to annihilate the 3rd seed 279-214, then outpaced second seed Noah Taimanglo in the semis 204-193 before upending top seed RJ Santos 206-153 in a finale match he lead from start to finish for the monthly title.  Santos earned his finals slot as he edged 6th seed Nikko Gutierrez in the other semi-final match that set up the finals.

During the qualifying rounds held earlier in the day, Santos pulled a late game surge to take pole position.  He finished with a 946 total on games of 228, 247, 205 and 266.  15-year-old Taimanglo was 26 pins adrift in second followed by Elliott, Borja, Ricky Duenas, Nikko Gutierrez, Ray San Nicolas, Frank Manibusan Jr, Jay Leon Guerrero and Jeremiah Camacho rounded off the top ten who competed in the elimination rounds.

Dominic Uson led the Prince field after the four games qualifier then continued his momentum into the elimination rounds edging 6th seed Ben Manibusan in the semi-final 190-188 before outclassing 4th seed Kioni Aflague in the finals that earned him his first title of the year.  Aflague earned his right to the final match by beating 2nd seed Evan Duenas in the semi-final match.

Duenas was a distant 43 pins behind Uson after the qualifying rounds followed by Rolly Hernandez, Kioni Aflague, Cam Santos, Ben Manbiusan, Paul Perez, Merygrace Hernandez, Raymond Cruz and Gemma Mendoza who earned their spots in the elimination round.

The next Pin Point Guam King and Prince of the Lanes will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center.
