Noah Taimanglo trailed top seed Jeremiah Camacho during the final match of the Guam Youth Bowler of the month competition held at the Central Lanes Bowling Center on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Down by as many as 22 pins with two frames remaining, the second seed capitalized on a missed split by the defending champion, slamming the pocket for a four bagger to grab the title with a 213-203 decision. With the win, Taimanglo ties Camacho’s three titles for the year and holds onto pole position going into the Grand Finale on December 9, 2018.
Camacho opened the match with a turkey from the third to fifth frames and seemed to be cruising towards his fourth title until the nine-frame mishap. Taimanglo was unable to execute early on, but steady spare shooting and sparing throughout the match, helped him close out the match in the end.
In the semi-final match, Taimanglo ousted 3rd seed Evan Duenas 205-189 as he controlled the game from start to finish. Duenas eliminated 4th seed Jordan Hattori handily 261-157 in the quarter final round.
Camacho led the four games qualifier with a whopping 916 total followed by Taimanglo, Duenas, Hattori, Naiyah Taimanglo, Jaeceline Espiritu, Bryce Jacosalem, Paul Perez, Frank Manibusan Jr. and Alexandra Loyola who rounded off the top ten.
The top sixteen bowlers from the year-round events moves into the grand finals in order of finish: Noah Taimanglo, Jeremiah Camacho, Frank Manibusan Jr., Evan Duenas, Jaeceline Espiritu, Naiyah Taimanglo, Josiah Lanuza, Sebastian Loyola, defending 2017 champion Alexandra Loyola, Bryce Jacosalem, Jared Petrus, Eyan Duenas, Paul Perez, Alana Fegurgur, Annastashia Leon Guerrero and Cameron Santos.
