San Nicolas in World Bowling top ten after day one

Ray San Nicolas currently sits in ninth place after the completion of the first day of singles event.  With two squads remaining, San Nicolas’ 1287 six games total is the highest amongst the four Guam bowlers who competed in the first day of the World Bowling Men’s Championship being contested in Hong Kong’s South China Athletic Association Bowling Center.

San Nicolas opened the block with a 243 game in second place before slipping to fifth overall in the first squad with games of 206, 192, 248, 179 and 219.  Professional Bowlers Andrew Anderson and Kyle Troup of Team USA lead the field followed by Malaysia’s Muhammad Rafiq Ismail and Finland’s Niko Oksanen.
