The ISA High School Bowling League officially opened its 2026 season with a traditional ceremony at the Central Lanes Bowling Center, welcoming seven participating schools: George Washington High School Geckos, John F. Kennedy High School Islanders, Okkodo High School Bulldogs, Simon Sanchez High School Sharks, Southern High School Dolphins, Tiyan High School Titans, and the Business and Technology Academy Charter School Bulls.
Following the opening program, competition began with the Girls Singles event, delivering a tightly contested battle from start to finish. In a dramatic conclusion, Simon Sanchez’s Isabella Poblete and JFK’s Charissa Pineda shared the top podium spot after posting identical two‑game totals. The margin for the remaining positions was razor‑thin, with only 24 pins separating the top six bowlers. JFK’s Tina Lin secured third place, edging GW’s Aubreale Charfauros by just three pins.
The top ten performers also included: Crystel Abad (Southern Dolphins), Alexa Jesus (Sanchez Sharks), Sarah Tumamak (Tiyan Titans), Andrea Garcia (Sanchez Sharks), Elina Cruz (GW Geckos), and Althea Arreglado (JFK Islanders).
The league continues on Thursday, September 10, 2026, with the Boys Singles event, scheduled for 4:15 p.m. at Central Lanes Bowling Center.
