The ISA High School Bowling League blasted into Week 1 with fireworks on the lanes, and the Bulldogs wasted no time making noise. Billy Rey Donor came out swinging—literally—stringing a four‑bagger to seize control of Game 1 and never look back. Donor’s explosive 205 opener set the tone, and he powered through the two‑game set with a 372 total to claim the first week’s top honors.
Hot on his heels was Sharks standout Jhayvriel Pineda, who stayed within striking distance and finished just two marks behind with a 354, edging Bulldogs’ Treyton Meno by a razor‑thin four pins in a fierce battle for the podium.
Islander Ethan Patague narrowly missed the top‑three cut by only three pins, while Sharks’ Edward San Nicolas locked in fifth. Sharks teammates Gerwin Lagman and Christian Bernal followed close behind, keeping the pressure on the leaderboard. Islanders’ Hajin Lee secured eighth, Titans’ Eyan Duenas grabbed ninth, and Bulldogs’ Trevin Lumbang rounded out the top ten in a thrilling first‑week showdown.
In the team standings, the Sharks struck hardest, grabbing top team honors with a sharp 20 points. The Bulldogs followed with 33, Islanders at 36, Titans at 68, Bulls at 76, Dolphins at 143, and the Geckos at 176.
The competition heats up again on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, as the boys return for the high‑pressure Bakers Team Competition at 4:00 p.m. at the Central Lanes Bowling Center. With momentum shifting and rivalries forming, Week 2 promises even more drama on the lanes.
