The Okkodo High School Bulldogs roared through the lanes and outperformed the entire field in a high‑energy, momentum‑shifting Bakers Team showdown of the ISA High School Bowling League.
The quartet of Treyton Meno, Billy Rey Donor, Kyle Leonardo, and Javen Coronado showed grit from the start, but the early fireworks came from the JFK Islanders. The squad of Michel Mendoza, Ethan Patague, Elliott Palomo, and Sebastian Galvez lit up the center with the high game of the day, a booming 204, putting the pressure squarely on the rest of the field.
Momentum then swung to another Islanders lineup — Leland De Vera, Hajin Lee, Cody Tenorio, and Clayton Tenorio — who surged into pole position after three games with back‑to‑back blasts of 192 and 196. Their lead held strong through four games… until the Bulldogs decided they’d had enough.
With fierce determination and a perfectly timed bite, Okkodo stormed back into contention and unleashed a clutch 197 in Game 6, sealing the top post with a commanding 1350 total set. It was a statement finish and the Bulldogs made sure everyone felt it.
The Simon Sanchez Sharks mounted their own late‑game charge, climbing the ladder and outdueling the Islanders in the final four games to edge them by 15 pins. The team of Christian Bernal, Edward San Nicolas, Nathane Herrera, and Gerwin Lagman delivered a powerful second‑half performance to secure second place overall.
Fourth place went to the Sharks’ second squad — Ethan Domingo, Reyshaun Perez, Evin Guiao, and Jhayvriel Pineda — while the Tiyan Titans lineup of John Tumamak, Eyan Duenas, Jared Masga, and Antonio Guerrero rounded out the top five with a steady, competitive showing.
